Hl2.exe Has stopped working

Hey guys,

This might be like orange juices problem, but when i try to join insurgency, i go to a server, and when i try to click a team, it closes automatically with the error message " Hl2.exe has stopped working". For CS:S & other steam games, they work fine, its just ins that isn't working.

My computer Specs
Processor: Inter(R) Core(TM)2 duo CPU T6500 @ 2.10 GHz
Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System

Do you use anti-virus software? If so, try and make the hl2.exe service an exception. Also, make sure you're firewall has an exception for that process too.

I'm not sure if that will help, but it's something to eliminate.

It might have something to do with your graphic card considering the situation.
The other thing I have in mind is have you tried the general steps to restore a STEAM game?
Verify integrity, defragment, and so forth.

May you also please list your graphics card information here?
