BC2 black screen

Help!!!

I just bought Bad Company 2 today and installed it, everything was good when i started the game and started a new game. I watched the movie about the ww2 and boat trip etc.

But then when game itself starts, the screen is black? :cursing:

And the same happens in multiplayer, when i join into server and press the button "join battle" the screen is black. :facewall:

All sounds are there and the game and something is happening behind the black screen. What is this.? Anybody else has this kind problems? :confused1:

My computer specs:

Vista 32-bit

Geforce 8600gt

3Gt RAM

intel core duo CPU E6550 2.33GHz 2.33GHz

did you buy it on steam?

Did you let the updater run and update fully?

You might think of going here... and seeing if your up to par (Not doing your specs, its just a preventative measure)

The begining of the singleplayer, first mission is dark -- maybe your brightness becomes all wongy when you play the game?

Have you tried messing with the display settings and in-game brightness (mentioned above)?

Perhaps you can use this utility to check somethings....

If bad leads to worse you can check these forums out....


If worse leads to the horrible you can uninstall and reinstall the game, the good thing there is your ea account holds on to your online stats, if you happen to have any. (from the sound of this post it seems as if you don't)

If horrible leads to the unthinkable -- you may have to exchange your game, I know it sounds unthinkable in this day and age but defective discs do still exist.

Problem solved, I updated my video card driver and changed my desktop resolution to same as the in-game resolution.
