Whats the best browser?

I feel like going to Mozilla Firefox now, since I see lots of positive comments on it. :)

IMHO, Chrome is the best standalone browser, but that doesn't mean it's the internet experience you'll like best.

If you're doing netflix instant streaming, you'll need IE or Safari. Last time I checked, there's still no Firefox or Chrome support for it.

As many people have pointed out, Firefox is the more established browser in terms of addons. The sheer number of them means that I use Firefox for work and productivity purposes.

However, when surfing at home I use Chrome. Better browser inherently, and from what I understand the tabs run completely seperate from one another, so if one crashes on you you're not losing your whole browser. That may be the case with firefox as well but I just haven't heard.

I've heard bad things about Google Chrome, stuff about Google tracking everything you view. It could all be hearsay, but I know there's another browser out called Google Iron which is apparently Chrome without all the tracking stuff.

Myself, I use Firefox.

Tried Opera for a bit and it was alright, though it seemed to mess up XML pretty badly.

I prefer chrome, it's really fast and light weight. It doesn't look to bad either.

Firefox with add-ons.

Without add-ons? Opera.

You can get most Opera things, like speed-dial, with Firefox add-ons though.

I'm a Firefox loyalist, I've used it since pre-1.0 and it's always worked for me. I've heard Opera is better, but I haven't really tried it *shrug* I'm just comfortable with Firefox and unless the next release screws up I'm not really going to go out of my way to explore other browsers. It may have improved since I first tried it, but I did try Google Chrome and it was awful. It was essentially the "Vista" of browsers, it looked nice and promised loads of new features but was buggy as hell and trundled along with a bad GUI.

Thanks for the support everyone, I think i found my answer to this now :P
I am now using firefox and google chrome because it's very light and basic to use and most reliable. No problems yet and still having fun browsing on the internet and looking on the forums on Edgegamers.org :):):)

Opera actually beats Firefox in terms of speed and security. However, the plug-ins for Firefox mean it's my primary, followed by Opera for basic tasks.

IE 9 FTW! I actually have the preview installed, and it loads this site faster then any other browser I have (FireFox, IE 8, Chrome, Safari, Opera).

I actually use Google Chrome because to me Firefox is getting to bogged down with fancy addons and stuff. If I am gonna watch internet TV I use Safari.

If you don't like the add-ons, don't install them.

for me, chrome works perfectly. I started out with IE but I got tired of having problems with it so I moved on to firefox. Firefox works pretty well but then I found out about google chrome so I decided to give it a try. the thing i like about chrome is that it's pretty simple. it does just what it needs to do, without any hassles

ya im getting pissed with firefox right now because it keeps running very slowly at random times, and i don't even have any plugins for it (except i think 2-3 for video players). btw no viruses spyware etc either...it just randomly and for no reason runs slowly at times

ya but i find by the time i add speeddial, adblock, greasemonkey, firebug and mouse gestures FF starts to start slower.

opera just does all of that by it's self and opera link is a must have for me since i run multiple os's and work with several different computers. and it is nice and snappy in every OS.

and the 10.5 series is freaking fast.
