Talk about Horrible Weather

couple days ago there was a bad storm
-winds up to 113 mph, constant at 60 - 70mph
-trees down causing loss of power and phone and such
-half my high school is flooded, had 2 days off but now have to go back, only part we can use is the gym and south hall
-and thankfully no one dead or injured
-a lot of dead pelicans ( very nasty to see splattered on the streets )

Wow...where do you live? Up here in Washington, we had a flood wash out thru Chehalis...and it's river flooded over Interstate 5...so we have no pass thru to Portland.

probowl, you americans are all so "oh em gee its -1 5" you do realize in the north (canada) my school closes at -45. friday it was -43 and they didnt, so i walked 1 km to school, 1 km back and i have frostbite in 3 different places. [/endrant] lol

In my day I had to walk 10 miles uphill through knee high snow in -50 degree weather to get to school. Of course people were tougher in those days lol

I have a friend in virgina that when it snows 1 inch (2.689 cm) they close school.

It snows here (buffalo) 1 inch and we still go to school. (We don't have school if the superintendant can't get out of her house)

Man thats something i would love to see. Dead pelicans all over the place, LMAO. I dont think the schools here have ever been closed because of the weather.
