i7 930 bug

Hey all, went ahead and upgraded my 920 to a 930 . PROBLEM HERE. When my ram gets close to 1600mhz, windows shows 6gb installed and 2gb usable... If i overclock anywhere over 4.1ghz but keep the ram under 1600 mhz , it will show 6gb installed and only 4gb usable. I figured its a Voltage issue so went ahead and juiced everything up and then some with no results. Anybody ever heard of this? If you would like specs i will provide. Thanks all ! dbee.

Yeah I have heard of this issue. Most of the time, I hear it's a bent CPU pin or a ram issue.

Most likely: RAM is to blame here.

Never had this ram issue with my previous CPU, but yes others are saying it could be the ram or bent cpu socket pins. Im gonna start by swapping my ram with my bro's and see what happens. Then tweak around a couple more days - could very well be a bios issue. Lastly i will check for bad pins. I hope its the mobo... YAY EXCUSE FOR A NEW MOBO !
