Starting Servers.

You want to continue to have 7 servers to choose from? Fill them up.

That's my point. It's hard to fill up and get large, consistent numbers of players in 7 servers at a time when the game is new and the battlefield community knows very little about eGO. Source has been at eGO for obviously way longer than BC2 has and source still has trouble filling up some servers (dust2 and jail do great though )

I'm just suggesting we cut back at some servers, wait till we can a large player base at our servers, recruit some more to our new BC2 division, and then grow. Blowing out tons of servers at a time will only slow down growth in my opinion.

Ya I see alot of eGO members playing on other servers.. this needs to stop IMO.. but its a free country.

Ive been playing on other servers alot, what I'd like to see, is a Hardcore Conquest/Rush Rotation map, I really cannot play anything other than hardcore, and the hardcore server eGO has is rush only and I guess I'm 1/100 here. I'd play on the hardcore rush but I like conquest and rush mixed, and there is nobody on there half the time. So, its time to bulk up on players.

Saw some posts on the BFBC2 forums about R7 or R8 server update that killed the "Play Now" feature and lot of server admins were complaining about empty servers. Same time our servers emptied out. Now unless we seed them, they seem to stay that way.

Never knew so many would use a "Play Now" feature. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon, though I've seen posts saying it's broken due to Punkbuster.

IE you can have a ranked PB on empty server, or a non ranked PB off full server*.

Anyway HC Rush > Norm Rush for seed preference *cough*

One thought I had about this, and correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't found it yet, is that there is not an option to browse other servers while playing the game. This is probably causing people to switch servers a lot less often, at least I know I have been. I would also like to see the conquest servers fill up and will try to help with this.

To be fair the Matchmaking isn't bad, but half the servers I get into aren't english. Ola~

The best way to get a server started is... (drum roll please) bug people til they join. That means come on vent let people know you need help also steam message your friends, but also remember it takes time to start a server don't just give up cause 20 minutes go by and nothing happens people will join it just takes time. Also if you see Music, Numb3rs, Me or Duality online just ask us to throw out a steam group message asking to help fill the server. We don't mind doing it!

Sigh....I hate EA sometimes...Was about 5 people on our Hardcore rush 2 and i hop in to populate it...stay in all the way till it fills all the way...then the server crashes about 10 min of play with a full server...Yay

Thats just one of many problems with EA servers. Your best bet is to just go back in and try again. I know its a hassle and is pretty boring at times but its one of the best ways to get eGO's name out there in the BC2 community.
