Making website need CMS and best Ad company to use.

I am working on a website with one of my friends which will host some of our video series. I am also adding a few flash games when i develop them for the website and such, it's pretty much going to be a personal site for people to go to and have a good laugh when they want.

Now i need two things to solve two problems of mine. First off, i do not want to use Joomla or Drupal, but i do want to use a CMS (Content Management System) for my website, what is recommended?

Second problem is a large one. I need to know the best and SAFEST advertising website to use in conjunction with my website to pull out the most Ad revenue. I need the money from the Ads to pay off my website (which won't be pricy at all) and i also need to money to help my sister pay for college now that Obama raised Student Loans Insurance Tax (3% to 6.6%). :facewall: :chair:

I am also going to be making a few shirts and designs to sell, i only want to maximize my revenue using the advertisements to help my sister pay through college :cursing:

Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.

I've never dealt with any of the website ads so I couldn't help you in a suggestion. Though it would require a lot of traffic and people to click the links to actually make any sort of money.

However if you haven't purchased any web hosting yet I could refer you to a host where you can get 12 months + domain for $9.95 (usually $9.95/mo but I have an account and people I refer get the special). Unlimited bandwidth/storage/databases/ftp/email accounts etc, 24/7 support, 99.9% uptime.

It comes included with various CMS and other content that is easily installed via the cpanel.

I could make you a CMS, I've made 2 in my lifetime so far... The first one took me 6 months, and lots of help, but the second one (almost finished) has taken me about 2 weeks, with absolutely NO help (I'm so proud of myself).

Can be very easily modified to hold large amounts of data very easily
Easy to add pages to
Administration Bar
Small number of files
No addons, or special libraries to make it work
Lots of other junk I could probably stuff into it

I also do design. I've made a site that uses absolutely 0 images that looks amazing with shadows, rounded corners, pure CSS dropdown menu (with submenus) and can, again, probably cram more into it if I had more time

I have found a CMS actually my cousins friend created it for me and it runs nicely thanks for the offers though.

Right now i need to know the best advertisement website for pay-per-click ads. google adsense is alright but i am looking for anything better.

for a good CMS i would recommend WordPress.
I've worked with Joomla, Mambo, Drupal and have built my own MySQL/PHP CMS before and I highly recommend WordPress.

Most think of WordPress as being a bloggint tool, but it has some pretty decent and very simple CMS tools built it. You can a fast and SEO friendly website up in a snap with it.

I strongly agree with this. I have made professional business websites with wordpress very quickly, and without nights of going through code fixing simple things . but it seems like you have a CMS already. good luck

Thanks very much for the responses. I may use Wordpress for some of my other websites, i have four domains in the workings right now and i will test wordpress out on one of them to see if it helps how many hits i get (the website is local at the moment, on a local testing network my employers company has setup within his town). I actually agree, Wordpress does seem fairly professional and basic enough to change around the look of it to suit my needs, as well as it is easy to port together with PHPBB3.
