I have to say, prefire is actually part of the game. I prefire corners that usually have people there. if the person is prefireing only when a guy is there, then that is an indication.

I forgot to mention what I voted for. I voted for Nametags because I would assume that valve have spent a great deal of time trying to catch wall hacking. Nametags however are not that high of priority to deal with. Therefore, It would be easier to hide from VAC using nametags than it would using a wallhack. Generally both do the same thing so It is less risky to get VAC banned using nametags. I would say that a wallhack is no different than nametags.

Good point, It would seem that Nametags would be in the background for hacks that they would be trying to make VAC detected. Although you dont actually see their bodies, it is a strong indicator of where enemies are so I can see why that could be the most used.

wall hack is definitely the most used. if used properly it's really hard to detect with the naked eye

Very nicely written guide.

BUT of course it is hard to detect most hackers, most are not stupid enough to just play like they are hacking. It says that it is easy for hackers to detect other hackers but yeah I don't know how that applies.

I believe it is extremely important you don't accuse someone of hacking, unless your joking of course XD or completely sure [Which is always hard]. I have seen admins get it wrong on servers before ( not going to mention any names) but it was quite embarrasing. So unless you are completely sure I believe it is disrespectful to call people hackers and banning or recognising them should be done subtly

Like Wind said above, its important you NEVER accuse somone of hacking because if they have played the game for years its possible they are just really skilled, so never accuse anybody unless you have solid proof or are absolutely sure.

Whenever I am watching a suspected hacker I ask myself, "If he was walling, what should he have known/seen and did not." If he was hacking he should of known that player was there, but did not. If he was aimbotting why did he not hs that guy and why is his spray all over the place when he bursts. I find alot of suspected aimboters dont usually spray and pray. So if u see him/her spraying and its everywhere then he is most likely not aimboting.
Having said that, still keep a eye on him, people can change.

Finally DOnt spend hours in spec watching a suspected hacker hacking. If you cant get him within the first 15 mins he most likely is not hacking and your wasting ur gaming time. But still keep a eye on him when your dead.

Thanks Frank and you have a good point. You should always ask yourself "If they were hacking, they should have known this or that" and basically if you cant get any solid evidence or proof with 10-15 minutes, they are wasting your time and probably not even hacking.
Im going to add this to the guide along with a few other points I saw.
