Spraying

As some of you might know, i suck at CSS. One of my biggest questions is about spraying. Most of the guides i have read say to shoot burst and 2-3 shots at a time while standing still but some ppl do not do that and still get kills.

On office, Quix for example can go 80-5 or something. He uses m4 and it looks like he has almost no recoil. If i crouch and burst, my bullets still go everywhere but ppl say it is the most accurate gun after mp5. Does he hax? =]

Also ive seen ONE (i think he is in this clan) in highschool and the comp rotation, he is good with AK and AWP. For example, if me and some teammates are trying to snipe him (like CT spawn to stairs in highschool), he sprays with the AK and can headshot most of us easily if we peak. On mill, he does this at close range too. If you look at this when specing, he just sprays with his AK standing up and gets tons of headshots...while complaining about lag once in a while! Isnt AK the most unaccurate weapon and is normally used by bursting 2 buttets at a time?

a while ago, i saw some person called Armadillo or something like that at comp rotation on CPL Mill. He had an awp and was quick scoping close range like nothing. I asked ONE about that and he said its easier in 1.6 but he can't figure out how to do that in source.

On youtube, if you look at HeatoN's videos, he can also spray AKs and get headshots but his AK looks perfectly still.

I know for one thing, that if you spray with an AK you need to spray at their neck in close range, stomach area for middle, and feet for long. That's for spraying, but usually bursting works better. All those people are doing are holding the mouse button down and pulling back slowly on the mouse to counteract the recoil. And with the AWP thing, I try to shoot down and to the right if I'm moving left and down to the left if I'm moving right.

Its preference really.
The people you described are obviously in the habit of spraying.
They're used to it and know how to do it correctly.

Just practice the method you think fits you, over time you'll develop habits and ways to use it to your advantage.

That applies to bursting and spraying.

Try spraying with different guns at different ranges against a wall. You will notice a distinct spray pattern for each gun so when you are in a actual game you can aim appropriately depending on the gun and the range.

yup...and one of the most common mistakes with the m4 is people spray it like its an AK, and aim at the knees or lower, but only hit their legs/stomach and wonder why it does 8x damage in 6 hits or something. Just need to aim at their chest height and it will spray around head level.
like ramp said just make your own game, load up a map buy the guns and test it out

Personally, i stick to my trusty P90 or USP. I can easily nail headshots with it and get quick kills, but still spray bit.

I also suggest making your crosshair smaller than it usually is. The smaller the crosshair the better the accuracy tends to become (at least on my end).

Yet, I suggest doing what Ramp has mentioned. Practice with all the guns at different distances so that you know how the bullets land.

Also it helps to find your own method to spraying that works for you. It doesn't help to copy other people's methods because it usually will not work for yourself.

Yeah, change your crosshair size and color so that you can see it easier if the helps any

When spectating someone the Camera is horrible so it looks like the movement is on a trail, the recoil almost doesnt exist but really, when thier playing they MUST compensate, the Spectation just makes it look like no recoil

Using an ak well, just keep in mind its a one head shot ko gun and is used most effectively that way. Keep a good headline throughout e.g turning corners and at point blanc range rather than aim at the body like a lot do, aim at the head as it'll be a faster kill.

Spraying is well very useful if you can control your recoil and keep your aim.

Medium to long range, I would personally always burst, however spraying from short to medium is a viable strategy ;]. However, doing this your gameplay loses consistency as there is still an elemeny of random, and you'll need to make sure you've learned to counter the recoil on the weapon correctly.

People that don't look like they have recoil use a Higher mouse sensitivity, I only use 3, I'm going to try and get used to higher like 5 or 7, But its which your most conformable with. I know some people only use 1 Mouse sensitivity.

my sens is very high (works best for sniping) - which is also why i don't need no stinkin crosshairs!
