Slow internet

Anyways, I'm using a direct connection. My ISP is AT&T SBC Yahoo DSL. I have the 768kbps package. My friend has the exact same package but he gets download speeds of 130kpbs while I get about 30kbps. Also, I found out when I was downloading something, my speed was 30kpbs. I downloaded another thing and I was expecting a 15kpbs for each but then they both were at 30kpbs. What's wrong with my internet?

LOLS, Armed, sometimes your internet downloads are not limited by YUOR internet, but by the place you are downloading FROM. The internet is not this magic place that has infinit speed. If you are downloading something then that means someone else is uploading it. And uploading is slower than downloading for most places / people.

As you can see 310k > 30k. I'm not saying that it is the fastest internet in the world, however, where is the problem at? heh.
