Perhaps some of you have seen a chapter of House MD, a television series where the protagonist is a doctor with a very special way to diagnose. Anyway, last season being broadcast in the U.S. today, ending 17 May. That day will not only see the final episode, but the first that used a digital camera Canon 5D Mark II, instead of traditional video cameras.

To Greg Yaitanes, director of the show, the experience was enriching. Then a series of statements regarding the use of the Canon 5D.

"We shot 24p to optimize its use in confined spaces. We use Canon lenses, the 24-70mm and 70-200mm "

"Focusing was difficult with these lenses, but lenses 'type movies' are being produced while we talk"

"We loved the quality. It is the future. "

Perhaps the day when a movie is recorded by a DSLR is not so far away. For now, House could be an interesting experiment to more directors are encouraged to switch teams for their recordings.

I don't think the adoption will be too quick, as DSLRs are still just gaining popularity as video devices, and you can only fit so much on a card. In movies they go through 2 8gb cards in one take, why? The cameras they use in movies capture everything, and by everything I mean everything they are better than HD. Which is why old movies can be converted to HD, even though they were made when HD wasn't a thought in the mind.

wait, what, house is coming to a end??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
