The agency DARPA (Research Projects Agency Defense Advanced) is one of those places where any geek would pay for work. Since its inception, the pursuit of innovation-based projects often impossible to translate ended in success as we know today as the Internet or in this case, a transformer?
Saying "flying car" sounds less glamorous than eating sushi mojarrita, but if we put the same project "Transformer TX, Vertical Takeoff and Landing Roadable Air Vehicle" I would say I will reserve one for launch. DARPA does not skimp on expenses and ideas when it comes to these things, is why in addition to flying, will carry up to a ton in the air and keep all the features of a land vehicle of military operation.
The Transformer TX aims to become a prototype for 2015 and more or less would be something like a military Humvee VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing), off-road capabilities, deployment of troops, medical services or transportation of supplies, with possibility (in principle) to maintain flight to 3 thousand meters with a range of 320 kilometers.
Technicalities lovers can revel in detail the concept of this DARPA project that according to reports in one point, it will cost U $ S 45 million in three stages.
