So I've been trying like hell to break the Hail Mary aсhievement where you plant a bomb on Jagd to extend the round into overtime. Apparently it was all in vain because I've read threads on the DoD official forums that the aсhievements are broken and Valve isnt interested in fixing them. And I guess development on DoD overall is dead now. Apparently Putsch and Jack of all Trades dont work either. Im nearly done with all the aсhievements but it looks like I'll never be a War Hero.

Sigh, I've been playing DoD in all its forms for nearly 9 years now. Sad that its taken such a dump, as I feel it was the best mod for HL/HL2 and imo waaay better than CS. I'll stick around as long as I can but I guess any hope for improvements and bug fixes (which are many) are dead.
 
Well, keep trying, cause I have Putsch and I have seen Jack of all Trades achieved twice while I've been in-game.
 
Have you planted the bomb so that it exploded after zero without getting the achievement? If not I would keep trying, it may just be a rumor. Or go in an empty server with Jagd running with someone else and try it out. If you get the achievement it works:)
 
My hail mary doesn't work either. Pretty annoying seeing as I was going for every achievement awhile back.
 
Some servers dont allow overtime on the map so you might want to hop around a few servers until you find one that does. I got Hail Mary when I first started playing a few months ago so I dont think its broken.
 
just don't farm the achievement. I have 47 achievements and i have gotten them all through hard work.
 
The best ever achievment is getting out of bed in the morning feeling like the world belongs to you, so keep trying you never know what might happen if you try hard enough.
 
Havent been farming anything. How do you farm achievements anyway? Dont you need a least a few other players to play against in order for it to be counted?

Anyway I was on a full Jagd server yesterday and I nearly planted the bomb on the halftrack but almost at the last seconds someone diffused it.

Most of my achievements were broken long ago. But in the last couple of weeks, I've broken Rocket, K98 nade, K98 kills, and win a knife fight. Maybe something else I'm forgetting. But its taken a lot of work just to unlock those few, and those are the easier ones. The remaining ones you see are gonna take months I feel. How often do you get to spade or knife someone?

Last night I was on a Argentan server. Must have been a server for novices because I was creaming it, and I suck on Argentan especially. I won the map 2 times in a row as an ally, and on the 2nd time I had almost the entire team facing me as I capped the last flag. I could have easily gotten Take no Prisoners, the one achievement that seems to tease me to no end. But this server shut off weapons when a team wins the round. How cruel.

I must admit that I farmed a few, but mostly just the silly ones like 5 headshots, jack of all trades and the Jagd one and the nade throw back. The others I earned, including rationing (4 with one nades) , 4 kills at end of round, and the silly machine gun ones. The hardest for me were the rifle nades, sniping and the Kar98, but I earned them. I do wish I earned every one so if you havent farmed yet dont do it!

Maybe there wasn't overtime or something, but it exploded after round time was complete...so idk what happened. 5 headshots was complete, dumb luck, picked up a sniper and got 7 HS in a row...never have come close to that again.

I thought melee was the hardest since I would rather shoot someone, than be vulnerable sneaking up

For Jack of all Trades you will need cooperative teammates to trade weapons with you. I forgot which ones you need to use But I would suggest starting with sniper or MG then asking rifles and assaults to switch with you and hope you die in the meantime.

Well I thought you needed a nade kill...so I usually start with rifle. One day I tried I got my rifle, my nade, my rocket, sniper, assault, but no one would give me their mg. I saw one, ran to it, and Asploded.

I don't really care too much though, I hate to camp so I don't want to waste time trying to get it. I've got all the weapon ones anyway.
