Have a Low End PC? Get crappy FPS in CS:S, DoD:S, TF2, Any Game? Wish you could afford a New PC but can't? Want to boost your FPS by 10-20 FPS?

Well here is the thing for you!

http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html

Its a Gamebooster, what it does is Set the game your playing to the Highest Priority, then Lowers everything else, it also, Shuts down programs that you aren't using to keep you Game running smooth.

Once your done gaming switch back to normal mode, and everything goes back.

Its very nifty, I'm on a Medium end PC, and Use it.

I also just helped !r0nM@n get his DoD:S running from 10-15 FPS to 20-40 FPS with it. It's very nifty.

If you need any help installing it or setting it up shoot me a message on steam, or on the forums, I'm willing to help (:

Iv'e had it before, I didnt really look into it much but I didnt notice a much FPS Boost but I wasn't really paying attention so i'll give it another go and hopefully I can get back to you with good results

Messing with thread priorities is generally not a good idea, and the small amount of gain you might get from it isn't generally worthwhile.

It is. Really, I know about 20+ people using this, never have problems, all you have to do when you bring it up is click switch to game mode. and when your done gaming, switch back to normal mode.

It just shuts down unnecessary stuff. once your done and switch back to Normal it comes back on. No Harm done.

Sounds like you're just advertising for it, like a spam bot (thats spam makes sense).

I say, just lower the res and detail or just deal with it. Or suck it up and buy a better PC, or upgrade your current (if it is a logical decision, no upgrading a 775 or AM2 or Pent 4's or AGP and IDE)

I'm not advertising, I'm just giving people information about the Game Booster, I didn't DL if myself till Last Night, I get 50-120 FPS Normaly, Now I get 70 - 150.

It works with any PC, but if you get good FPS you don't really need it. its for Lower End PC's. Some people don't have the money to buy new computers, Like me, I have $0 to my name.

My Parents maybe $300, and they still gotta pay for gas, and Food. for a Family of 7.

Not everyone just has money to put down on a Awesome Gaming Computer. So we use stuff to boost our computers. If you going to post something Hating on this for trying to help other people, can I request you just not to post, keep it to yourself or send me a PM.

kthx.

uh, you mad?
I'm pretty sure, like Prisoner said, it's not good to mess with thread priorities, and also, like I said, just put it to low settings/low res, and just deal.
And no, not everyone can afford an "Awesome Gaming Computer", most certainly not me. I mean, have you seen my specs?
I didn't attack you personally, just stating my opinion, the thing forums are made for, so don't take it personally.
kthx.

This thread was advertising yes, but it was in good cause. GameBooster can actually make a huge difference. When i had my old computer, (Asus K8v-MX Motherboard, Radeon 9800 Pro x@ GFX Cards, 1gb RAM, Soundmax AD1800 Sound Card) I could play Counter-Strike, but on the lowest possible settings i still had insane choppiness.
I downloaded GameBooster and tried it out as one of my friends from my old clan told me. I have to say, since i started using GameBooster for that PC my gaming experience tripled.

Likewise i have a new Gaming Rig i built myself with 6gb of RAM, AMD Athlon II X2 240 Processor 2.80GHz, Radeon HD 5800 X2 Gfx Cards, and a Soundblaster Audio Card. GameBooster doesn't do anything for this computer.

GameBooster will kick those old not-for-gaming pc's and shape them into something that you can game on. Now it isn't magical, it won't work if your computer runs WINDOWS 3.1, but it does really make a difference in the long run for some old computers. And you can use GameBooster until you have saved up enough money to run your own rig.
