Bill Gates Bans iTunes From Windows

Bill Gates would have made the misunderstood announcement that Apple's iTunes is prohibited in the Windows operating system.

According Pluggio Blog, Mr. Gates asked the reasons why Microsoft has made this decision and he replied:

First, we are happy that they (Apple) develop iTunes for Windows, we have lots of customers just for that application, but we have heard from an insider that they (Apple) use the same code base on the version of iTunes Mac in the Windows version.

On closer inspection we realized that iTunes does not even use the actual Windows API! They make their own set of scroll (scrolling on the screen) and its own chroma ("skin"), completely bypassing our fantastic operating system Windows. Therefore, we decided that enough is enough. Allow iTunes again when they (Apple) made the following changes:

* Apple should write a specialized version of iTunes on Windows and use Windows compilers and languages only.

* Apple must use Windows native drivers as our windows and scroll system.

* Apple should stop this ridiculous attitude to write code once and deploy on multiple operating systems.

If they (Apple) can follow these simple rules, then we (Microsoft) will be happy to allow return to Windows.

Ok, actually this is not true and only intended as a comic satire.

The false announcement is intended as a criticism of Steve Jobs by the restrictions added to the license terms of the new iPhone OS SDK. However, the fact remains that supposedly Bill Gates is saying, because one of the restrictions it has caused more controversy is forcing the development of applications for iPhone OS, using only the C, C + +, Objective-C and JavaScript (the latter through Webkit), prohibiting the use of tools such as MonoTouch, Unity3D or "Packager for iPhone" from Adobe....

He's not retired, he's a chairman still owning much of the Windows Stock so technically, he would have the authority as long as agreed by the board. I think this is a joke, Microsoft would not benefit by having Apple change it

The point is that Apple changed their Terms and Conditions to basically say that.

If a developer wishes to develop code for Apple systems they MUST design it specifically for Apple systems. They cannot use code that simply switches over. I believe this is specifically a attack on Adobe's Flash in specific.

And I dislike Apple. They've become too focused around apps that the music quality suffers.
I used to have iTunes and an iPod, before Zunes were developed. But then I got a little Zune 8GB, and just recently got a Zune HD. I have also recently listened to an iPod of the same exact song that I put on it and the same exact song I put on my Zune, and the Zune sounded much much better.

By the way, don't let your Zune charge overnight, WATCH IT CHARGE, Zunes have a hardware problem that when they overcharge, their power disconnect switch does not activate, and they overcharge, this makes their battery swell up, and it makes the screen explode. It happened to my Zune 80gb, i love the damn thing but i had to replace the Battery and the LCD screen, now i need new glass for it :[

I agree with iSimon, i know many people who only use Windows for the fact they don't need to use an emulator for certain games, and it runs iTunes. If iTunes was gone, they would throw their PC's away and use emulators on their Macs.

We both charge our Zunes overnight, and that has never happened. He even has an 80GB, too. But now we both have 16GB HD's.
And no, I'm not a Zune lover, I just like them more than iPods because of iTunes. And the sound quality.
