Israel does not like iPads, and decided to ban Apple's new toy, coming to confiscate more of these teams had entered the country in the hands of visitors.
"The Ministry of Communications has blocked imports of iPads to Israel, and the authority of Customs is allowed to confiscate them," says the note published in the news service of Tel Aviv Haaretz.
The problem is that the engineers of the Ministry have refused to approve the device, because the WiFi operates on a different standard to WiFi works in Israel, which is similar to European.
"The head of customs at Ben-Gurion International Airport yesterday said they have confiscated 10 iPads, including those who had been declared by their owners," Haaretz reported. The owners have also been fined for each day that the unit remains in the cellars of the airport.
The authority has not reported whether the iPads will eventually be approved or what changes need to be approved them. However, it seems that this custom is not unusual in Israel and has also occurred with other devices in the past. So if you travel to Israel is in your plans, you better be careful with the gadgets you carry.
