The ATI Catalyst 10.4 Preview driver available here is supposed to fix the slow load times for the HD 5XXX series. Doesn't say anything about the 4XXX series though.

Fortunately, I don't have a problem with the 4870 x2 I have.

If this is the case, I will wait for a while before updating.

Maybe I can finally use both cards and not just one when playing BF:BC2!
It's 2x 4870, not 4870x2.
