Hopefully this will help some of us with our "aiming problems."

According to that post on the UK forums it's been working for most people, the effect to which it works is obviously subject to the player's ability to aim properly and base judgment on where a person will be; as all this really accomplishes is a slightly more accurate hitbox to aim at.

for me, i love it; i dunno why it's not there or like that to begin with. It's most recognizable with the knife and shotgun (yes knife accuracy is a bit better with this... a BIT, not a LOT)
 
it is kind of lazy that they cant get a hitbox program to run with the game that updates the setting to the server's average ping after the game exits so the next time you log in the setting will be matched already to the server's average ping.

but as to why they have it set at 100, i guess is because they are trying to set a median without actually having to manually change it.
 
Excellent find. I'll be testing this with 50 ping in my config.
 
Please, PLEASE! post your results with this here, I'm trying to help figure out the relationship between the setting and the actual result itself since nobody really knows at the moment.
 
For me, it's a bit better than before. I have friends who use the shotgun slug + magnum, and it registers a lot more than without this.
 
Hm, anyone know why I can't see the ping for eGO servers in my favorites? It just has a - in for it.
 
You have to run the game as administrator.
Which you do by right clicking and and clicking "run as administrator".

Otherwise ping wont show up.

I havent really tested it enough yet though.
Ill be playing again tonight and give my verdict.
 
It's a placebo-effect. Those commands have been taken from BF2 and I very much doubt they left some BF2-code in BC2 so yeah, no.

Though the thread was sticked on EA forums, but I'm leaning towards placebo effect as well, that or it doesn't make too much of a difference unless your standard ping is well above or below 100. (I'm generally at 62-78 so doesn't seem to change much)
 
Are you supposed to set the ini files to your ping, or the servers?
 
lol chase :)

and it makes a massive improvement for me on the shotgun. Myself and Brisbie tested it with multiple guns but shotguns are the most noticeable .
