Article ITT I attempt to review every movie I've seen.

Hey guys!

I'm taking a road trip up to Niagara Falls with a couple of friends and I'm leaving tonight. I probably wont be back till late on Monday...so there wont be any reviews till Tuesday at the earliest.

The Canadian side of the falls is far superior to that of the US. When I say that I am solely referring to trashy tourist traps and wax museums.

And if you're in the mood to be classy, Niagara is wine country all up in here and so forth. So some great vineyards.

The man is right.

The US side is a trashy tourist trap. When we actually got to the falls and saw the Canadian side...we really wished that we had our passports.

Anyway we drove up on Thursday evening and got back this morning, so basically back to back cross country trips.

Story: Hahahahahahaha...Oh god, there is not way that I can summarize this film's plot.

Review: Back in 1999 Mr. Aronofsky saw the Matrix, he felt that the Sci-fi genre had reached a new plateau. Darren felt that he should take the genre further, he felt that the Matrix was as far as technology based Sci-fi could go. He wanted go more spiritual and thus the Fountain was born.

I've seen this film 2 or 3 times and I still don't know whether or not I like it. The sheer ambition of the project is mind-boggling and the technical achievements of the film are amazing. The narrative though is wrought with problems and then there are the pacing issues. So I guess that it's a film that shoots to be a Sci-fi classic, but doesn't quite make the grade. It's a film that I do recommend seeing though, just because I'm sure that there are are a lot of different opinions of the work.

Story: An idealistic young American goes to Germany just after WWII to work as a sleeping car conductor on the Europa railroad. He is soon embroiled in a plot dealing with Pro-Nazi terrorists.

Review: A glorious showcase of style over substance. This film has enough filmmaking ingenuity packed into it for three movies, the production is just dripping with style and filled with brilliant ideas. Unfortunately the plot is woefully undercooked and not all that interesting considering the subject. The pacing is dreadfully slow and most of the acting is wooden. It's the kind of film that I wanted to like, but has too many problems for me to enjoy.

Story: It's the tale of an ***hole.

Review: I've actually read Factotum and a few other Bukowski...all of which star his thinly veiled alter ego Henry Chinaski. The books paint a realistic portrait of the life of Chinaski, who is an ***hole. The book which this film is based on follows our protagonist during WWII, he was rejected from the army and is now bumming around the country working, drinking and getting fired. There really isn't an over arching plot, it just follow the him until he hits rock bottom.

The movie is pretty much the same, but in a contemporary setting. Dillon does a pretty good job with the character. There is nothing really all that wrong with the film, other than that the material isn't conducive to film. It's worth watching, but tends to drag a lot.

Director: Michael Bay

Story: The apocalypse has happened and the remnants of is has moved to a highly technical safe facility. They are stuck in this facility until the win a lottery and go off to the island. Of course none of this is true.

Review: For a Michael Bay film, it isn't that bad of a movie. It's a little forgettable, but it has good action and an alright story...though it does take from about a million other Sci-fi tales. Yeah, not much else to say about this, there are a lot worse Michael Bay films out there.

wow u mustve been really bored if u did 4 movies in a row, esp on a sunday. i feel for ya on the trip to niagara falls. my dad took my sis & i to ontario & drove from there to the falls & it was just beautiful. now of course he did this back when we were kids, so i would love to go back now that im an adult. you can never get nuff of such a trip.

Story: Is this the most forgettable film of the year?

Review: What this film seeks to do is take the incredibly complex situation that is the US war in Iraq and to turn it into a simplistic action film. Sure it should be easy to ignore this fact if it didn't seem like that was a political statement attached to it. To make things worse the film is just so bland that and uninspired that I nearly forgot that I was it...like a month ago.

I saw both of these some where between 10 to 14 years ago and for the life of me I can't remember enough to actually review it....Damn this is the #1000....ehh...Jaws.

Story: Inconsiderate shark ruins tourism for an island community in early July.

Review: This is easily one of the most effect thriller/horror films ever made and is truly a testament to the talent of Steven Spielberg. What he managed to do was take essentially take a B-movie about a man eating shark and turn it into one of the most iconic films of all time. I can't really think of any complaints that I could levy against this film...so I wont even try.

I've been lucky enough to have skipped most of Murphy's films of the last decade. Pluto Nash thankfully included.
