For some strange reason I've seen this movie like 3 times and I remember that much of it. I mean I can picture the plot in my mind along with several scenes...but there are like massive gaps in my memory. I know I liked the film, but I don't remember enough of it for a review.

Kid moves into town, kid likes girl, kid tries to impress girl by being tough, he brings the witches back, hilarity ensues, zombie gets his head knocked off, cat dies, sadness ensues, ghost kid and ghost girl are reunited, Kid and his little sister have a stronger family bond.

Story: Bad things are going down in the land of the midnight sun.

Review: This film is based on a 1997 Norwegian film of the same name. The original is a pretty good movie and this is one of the few remakes that I like as much as the original. The basic gist of the story is that Pacino is brought up to a small town in Alaska to solve a murder of a teenage girl. Once he arrives there everything goes down hill for him. This is actually my favorite film by the Nolan brothers.

Story: Leonardo DiCaprio breaks into peoples minds to steal information.

Review: A lot of reviewers have called this film smart or intelligent and for the most part...they are correct. Nolan has managed to craft a clever thriller that has some brains behind it the action on screen. Though the film is not overtly smart, Nolan makes sure that the audience is not left behind for this ride...and this is where the issue lies. There is so much time spent on explaining the mechanics of the plot that it actually gets dull. Another issue is because Nolan spends all that time explaining whats going on in the plot that he forgot to flesh out the supporting cast of characters. The whole film feels like this, it's filled with brilliant triumphs and glaring problems. Even though it's not a perfect film, it's still one worth watching.

ok well im back from teh movie but didnt hear any hi-pitched aww's. thanx for the heads up sexy beast. ill def pm ya the review.

**EDIT** sorry beast, but my dad was the one who bought the ticket & i doubt he would have wanted to see inception. hes not big into sci-fi flicks. it would have been sci-fi in his mind (not sure if its really sci-fi tho).

No no no. Inception is probably the smartest summer film to hit in the last freakin decade. I'm so glad that it's not Batman.

Story: Two super villains try to capture the moon. Silliness ensues.

Review: I really am not sure how to start this off, so ill just say that the movie is geared more towards kids and mothers/women. I really didn't hear a lot of guys laugh at the jokes (even tho I did laugh at a few of em) (dang the commercials for ruining the most humorous parts), but overall it was a good movie. Nothing was predictable and Steve Carell did a great job as both a super villain & a parent/guardian figure. I will say that this movie is a good family flick, but it will get the kids attention more than anyone else. The humor is for those who really dig silly/kid-like pranks. I'm more of a sarcastic/smarta** guy, so some of the humor was good. Overall, great job by the voice actors of the yellow dudes & I highly suggest it for kids.

Well I could make the argument that it was an unreasonable expectation of seeing a movie that was released last year with a microscopic release...but whatever I set you 10k because I haven't seen the 89' Punisher either.
