Marc Maiffret is one of those people who fit the stereotype of the hacker from the movies: young, bright, which ended up being pursued by the FBI for 17 years and then of course this changed for good.

Today at age 29 working as security chief of a company and even for some time was a nightmare for Microsoft, found several vulnerabilities in their systems, now comes to his defense.

"When you look at Microsoft now, they make their software more secure than anyone else. They are the role model. They are not perfect, there is room for improvement. But definitely do better than anyone in the industry, I would say, "he said in an interview with CNET.

Maiffret in the past acknowledged that Microsoft chose not to admit mistakes, but this attitude has changed within the company. On the other hand, claims that other companies like Adobe and Apple are not doing such a good job in this regard and that often is used as a marketing problem, instead it gets real technical work for the teams to be more insurance.

On Apple, said:

To give a little scared because they try to advertise as safer than the PC, you do not have to worry about viruses, etc.. Every time there has been a contest of hackers, a few hours later someone finds a vulnerability in Apple. If you take things seriously, do not say they are more secure than Microsoft, because they are not. And the Apple community is very ignorant about the risks that are related to Apple. The reason we do not see more attacks in comparison to Microsoft is because they have a market share at or near the one with Microsoft
