Mic Problems

[TomatoSoup]

Hey
Lately I have been having some problems with my microphone..
It's okay when Im not in a game, and when Im in eGO jail, its USUALLY fine, (not always), but when I join the eGO highschool server, all you hear is loud static.. When you leave, its fixed, if I join Jail, its fine, then go to highschool, its staticy.. D:
If you have any ideas how to fix this, it would be appreciated. Thank you!

You should ask the Tech forums rather than General, but I'm sure someone can help:3
Unfortunetly, I cannot.
The best guess is the settings on steam possibly.

Try updating your codec pack, I personally use this one.

http://www.xpcodecpack.com/download

Codecs aren't only for videos, many games and software use them.

Also, what OS are you using?

Uhm. Not good with computer related things...
Sorry>.< I dont know what OS I have D:

No reason to apologize, is it windows?

If it is, follow this:
Click start > Navigate to "My Computer" or "Computer" > Right click it, go to properties > In there look for something like "Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP 2." or "Windows 7, Home Edition." or whatever else you may have.

Or hit the Windows Key and the Pause/Break key and it'll come up...
