Thread needs some love.

So what is everyone's favorite song from an anime? I have some personal favorites:

Hishoku no Sora - Shakugan no Shana (first opening) (Mami Kawada)

Being - Shakugan no Shana (second opening) (KOTOKO)

Joint - Shakugan no Shana Second (first opening) (Mami Kawada)

Sociometry - Shakugan no Shana Second (second ending) (KOTOKO)
Gonna stop there and just say all Shakugan no Shana openings and endings

Scarlet Ballet - Hidan no Aria (opening) (May'n)

Super∞Stream - IS: Infinite Stratos (ending) (all 5 heroines in the harems [too lazy to give names]

Straight Jet - IS: Infinite Stratos (opening) (Kuribayashi Minami)

Just a small list for now :)

All of Macross frontier songs :) :)
Elfen Lied " Lilium
Mnemosyne Opening ~Alsatia~
Witch Hunter Robin - Shell
Outlaw star opening theme
eureka seven third opening

So what is everyone's favorite song from an anime?

Gekidou by UVERWorld, the hard to find complete version that technically wasn't in D.Gray-Man, but whatever.

Also Masterpiece in To Aru Majutsu no Index. I haven't watched that anime, though. Just have the song in my iTunes list. And it's really good.

I just recently startde to watching Kore Wa Zombie Desuka? and it is very good. If you haven't had a chance to check that out yet I suggest it.

Now on another topic, does anyone know of any good action fantasy/supernatural anime? If so please let me know so I can look those up :)

With the spring anime coming to an end, what was everyone's favorite and least favorite shows? What surprised you and what disappointed you?

I got to say Hidan no Aria, The World Only God Knows II, and Hosizora e Kakeru Hashi were good. I knew Hidan no Aria would be great but the other two really were either funny or just amusing.

I will say that Deadman Wonderland was a let down for me personally. It started off good but then got away from the story to Ganta just getting tortured and fighting. There really was no story.

Why no more 26 episode seasons. Man I miss those, 12 episode seasons make me sad. I've got to catch up on the final episodes of the spring seasons, I'll make another post when I finish them (sometime tonight).

Yeah. I would still say I like the show. But the manga is just soo much better.
To me the show is turning into just a better version of what they did with Gantz (manga/anime)

To me this season has really been no real stand out for me.
Best one I liked so far would be Steins Gate

When Shakugan no Shana III comes out (about time too. I have been waiting so long) it will most likely be 24 episodes.

Also how was Steins Gate? I heard some people say it was good, others said ok, I also got some bad in there too.

So far I'm pretty disappointed in all of the new releases. May try Sacred 7 again, its the only one which even kept my attention past the first 5 minutes (Blood-C did for a bit too, but the animation is terrible- to be fair,I just don't like the character design/style used).

EDIT: Found a good one. Yuru Yuri is entertaining- reminiscent of Lucky Star.

Idolmaster- couldn't bring myself to watch it yet. Maybe I'll give it a shot another day.

Mayo Chiki- as cliched and overused this is, its one of the more entertaining shows of this release period. Watched up to the the end of the OP.

Mawaru Penguin- Not for me. Don't like the characterization- if anything I find it worse than that of Blood-C.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Anime? D:
I just can't seem to get into it at all. I'm not sure why!
I guess it's just not for everyone.

Amazing show- one of the best releases of last quarter.

It's all right. The story is really lacking compared to the manga. They never really get into the characters enough for you to truly care about them besides protagonist.

Action is great. Story is lacking.

^This.

I must say I am really proud of Usagi Drop this quarter. Also, Mayo Chiki! was pretty good and funny. Another one I found really interesting was Kamisama no Memo-chou. The only other show this quarter that was good is Rou Kyuu Bu! I suggest them all ^^

I'd say the manga is better than the anime 99% of the time :3. Still, of the anime released last "quarter". Deadmen Wonderland was one of the better shows. :3.

Last quarter i thought Hidan no Aria was pretty good. I had some others I were watching that were good as well but I am too tired to recall the names.

Sket Dan was not bad at all. I'll find the rest of the good ones later- someone should make a post with the release quarters and put what shows were released, which were good, and which need to be watched on DVD.
