Samurai 7 26 episodes Rather enjoyable.

Ergo-Proxy is another as well but it is lagging in humor but it is awesome 23 episodes.

I also suggest checking out Miyazaki Animated films as well: Princess Mononoke / Castle In the Sky in particular for your tastes

I finished up Samurai 7 a few days ago. Yesterday I watched the first episode of GTO. It seems pretty good. I had a few laughes out of it...
