OK I really need to admit that I found an anime I like, but it's about books. Dantalian no Shoka. Basically there are normal books and "phantom" books that can either be controlled or will take over the owner. It's actually a really well written anime. They take something most people don't like (books) and really made it interesting. If you like fantasy you might like this :)

I agree this is my favorite anime of the season the only thing I don't like about the anime is having to wait another week to watch the next episode lol. Also side note I am currently on my way to finish my 200th! anime which will most likely be Kurokami so far a pretty good anime, only on episode six but besides the fact that the main character doesn't really have any redeeming qualities I don't have much to complain about.
The main thing I like about it is the main characters don't start off over powered they actually get beat up quite a bit making it an enjoyable experience I know that sounds odd but I'm pretty tired of the main character being a nobody that all the sudden gains absurd amounts of power and completely destroys everyone in his/her path or just starts out overpowered this anime the main character is an average joe and they even weaken the second main character due to various reason. Good watch so far ill let you guys know how good it is when I finish it.
not really a spoiler but if you wanna watch the show without any knowledge of it don't read otherwise thats my review so far.

Edit: Found an anime that I watched before and added it :/ so mushishi was offically my 200th watched anime.

I just started a couple new series while I was on vacation and had time to sit down and watch a few hours (about 6 or so) of anime. I don't really think I can sum them up very well but one is called Mawaru Penguindrum which is a pretty good anime but might mess with you at first. Basically the main characters are three siblings. Shoma and Kanba who are brothers and the oldest while their sick sister Himari lives with them. Himari faints and passes away but then a miracle happens ;)

The other is Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi which is a pretty good action-romance sort of thing. You basically have your action, the guy wants to save and protect the girl but he isn't strong enough to match up to the strength of demons but he is stronger than most normal humans. It's pretty good so give them both a shot.

P.S. Both are currently airing and come out I think on Saturdays.

I finished watching season 2 of Strike Witches. It was pretty good.

i hope they make a season three. I really liked Francesca Lucchini character. Very fun loving...

A lot of people seem to be waiting for that but I still have no clue what it is. Care to explain please? :)

I'm going to guess it's an anime based on the fourth Shin Megami Tensei: Persona game. A lot of people like that game, so it's being adapted into an anime.

Interesting. I may have to look into that :)

IS was a show that tried to be great by mux'ing every good show to have been released in the last 2 years, and fell flat on its face imho. Soon new show time though, currently Mayo Chiki is still one of the only shows I'm enjoying :3. Blood C kinda lost me somewhere between 5-6, and have not yet caught up with the book show (which I agree, is pretty decent).

This thread's not getting pushed back any further.

Just read the new D.Gray-Man.
WOW
Kanda is alive.
Did not expect that at all.

Sooo, an anime thread (malevolent laughter) nice

first, my recommendations

Anime
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu
Shakugan no Shana
Zero no Tsukaima
To love Ru (warning...ecchi....A LOT)
Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (long name)

Manga
Hayate the combat butler

ok so now I'm watching a new anime, it's called "Mayo Chiki" overall it's pretty good, it's about a guy that has a pretty weird reaction to the contact with women (his nose bleeds the instant he touches or is touched by a girl), who discovers that the butler of the richest girl in the school is a girl, but the thing is that if her secret is revealed, she will lose her job; it has some ecchi, so watch out if you're with your little brothers, but it's a very fun anime i recommend it a lot

I started watching a tragedy slice of life anime called Kimi ga Nozomu Eien which is alright. I'm not in a huge hurry to finish it. I am starting to fall a little behind on my anime though because of school. Hopefully with the 15th off I can catch up on some episodes if I don't before then.

Still excited for Shakugan no Shana III this fall!

SO, while watching Mayo Chiki yesterday I noticed some strange posters in the background, I rewinded and took a closer look, this is what I found:

tho this was not the first time I found something like this in an anime

Also I want to propose a topic of discussion since this is kinda dead:

Clannad and Clannad AS, I want to hear your opinions, love it, hate it, whatever, so we can revive this little thread

Caco is right, I noticed that as well and almost yelled "REKI!" but luckily I didn't. Could this be a season two coming? o_O

But anyway, I personally don't like Clannad. I loved Kanon and Angel Beats! (which are all made by the same company if I am correct). I find that interesting. Normally I love harems but I just couldn't feel it for Clannad.

Angel Beats was such an AMAZING show. One of the few animes that came full circle with its ending, I was very sad when I watched it- tragedy is right on the money (it starts dark, turns hilarious, then goes serious and tragic, and that's an understatement).
