I watched the first 10 episodes of Blood+. I could not really get into it though.

It was nicely drawn, with good char development and action...but.. just kind of "dry".

Same... unfortunelty for me, I bought the dvd first..... :/

What did you not like about Seed/Destiny, minus Shin being terrible and nearly ruining Destiny for me.

As a Gundam fan, I've kinda been spoiled by high production values....The fact that Seed: Destiny reuses several animation frames blatantly (i.e. the Zaku pulling the beam ax and throwing it) kinda grated on my nerves. Plus, it felt like the directors wanted to go in a new direction by following Shinn and the Minerva, and then changed their minds half-way through the series to follow Kira.

Other than that, the mech design was awesome (like it usually is), and the battles were great!

Have you ever watched Victory Gundam or Zeta Gundam? Probably the 2 most depressing of the Gundam Series' made thus far. I think something like half the cast of major characters on the good guys side have died in gruesome fashions by the end of Victory Gundam.

Anybody start on the two new Gundam yet? Age and unicorn, I am going to wait a looong time before I start on either of those.

I personally enjoy mecha anime however I just never really got into the Gundam series. I did start Asura Cryin' which isn't half bad.

Don't touch age with a 10 foot pole. Terrible disgrace to the GUNDAM name. Unicorn... well, it certainly isn't Seed/Destiny, nor 00, but its alright. Not necessarily my cup of gundam, so to speak, but I still enjoyed it.

And yes, Seed/Destiny 2nd season with Shin focus nearly made me turn it off as well. I watched those episodes once... ever since I've just skipped them when rewatching the show in order to not rage. Seed and the rest of Destiny were both superb though, absolutely superb.Worst Characterization Ever award goes to Shin.

Age deserves to rot like SD Gundam....Unicorn is great if you've kept any interest with the UC era (i.e. Gundam 0079, Gundam 08th MS team, Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam, Char's Counterattack, and many more) because it finally explains several key plot points for the UC era. Also, the mech design and battle sequences are SUPERB! If you know mechs, you'll also get to see what happened to mechs from older series (/times in the UC era).

I highly recommend Unicorn, but only if you know at least about Zeta Gundam and Char's Counterattack, possibly with a little ZZ Gundam foundation.

BenTo... well, while the first episode had me going "what the?" until the very end, its actually quite the entertaining show.

Gundam F91 is a great movie for those who just want to see what Gundam can offer. It was almost a series, but the company couldn't get the funding for a full series.

Also, observe the awesome drawing and whatnot!

The winter quarter is right around the corner! Granted we still have a few weeks, it's never early to get a sneak preview of what's coming out :)

I'm currently going through all of the Dragon Ball series. Yes, this means Dragon Ball, Z, and GT plus the movies. I should hopefully be done by the end of the year...but that's positive thinking.

I need something new and good to watch, I've just been going through my old favs since most of the new anime is lacking. Anybody recommend anything?

It's not really new, but if you haven't seen D.Gray-Man I would recommend it. Really I would recommend reading it (the anime puts in a lot of its own content that isn't exactly the best), but the voices (in the Japanese version) are just so great. Also, quick warning, the anime is on indefinite break, as it has been for a few years, and the manga just updates really slowly.

Can't stop thinking about how I should rewatch Gurren Lagann...
