Seen them both long time ago, I've pretty much watched every single anime that is considered good, that's why I am asking for new stuff since everything old has been watched.

I need something new and good to watch, I've just been going through my old favs since most of the new anime is lacking. Anybody recommend anything?

from this season?

well, I can recommend Boku wa tomodachi, Ben-to, Fate/Zero, Ika musume and shakugan no shana III

I second Ben-to. That show is just win. Boku wa is fairly good as well, and Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!! is a great laugh.

I agree. I don't like the shows that put ecchi every minute because then they ruin the story or have no story. Maji did a nice mix imo where they had those type of scenes, but they also kept a nice story.

I just watched Champloo again... and it was a bad idea. I am now craving another buttkicking anime like it ;/.

Also, Mirai Nikki is the lovechild of Gantz and Death Note. So much win is contained in this show its not possible to put it into words. Everyone in the show is psychotic, and I love it.

Also (yeah yeah double post) I found a good manga to fill that Strawberry Panic-esque yuri gap. Girl Friends. Quite good- needs an anime adaptation for sure.

Really? I've heard about it before (mirai nikki), might as well start watching it, I just picked up guitly crown and so far (I've just watched 3 episodes) looks promising

An idea from a recent episode:
1
2

Guilty Crown isn't bad tbh, its being DMCA'd though so expect broken links often. Oter than that, and what I believe is ep. 4? the show is doing well.

Has anyone else started watching the new Gundam Gundam AGE? There was a lot of flak around the internet about this being too kiddie like and how it was going to kill the Gundam anime. So far though it has been quite the opposite. Some of the characters design are a little comical and the main pilot Flit is only 14 but to be honest most of the pilots in the past have been very young as well. Other than that I like the idea of an unknown enemy and the mystery surrounding it. Once you give it a chance it does start to grow on you. And its by no means kiddie. There is still quite a lot of war and killing and destruction going on.

Gundam has had a few stumbles here especially with SEED Destiny but regained its focus with 00 and with the ongoing Unicorn miniseries which is so far incredibly well done. Gundam AGE is a new idea and fresh and doesnt seem to really borrow anything like how 00 was like a redone Gundam Wing and SEED was a redone UC.

So right now you have Gundam Unicorn and the surprisingly good Gundam AGE and recently they announced another new series is in pre production.

Anybody start on the two new Gundam yet? Age and unicorn, I am going to wait a looong time before I start on either of those.

Don't touch age with a 10 foot pole. Terrible disgrace to the GUNDAM name. Unicorn... well, it certainly isn't Seed/Destiny, nor 00, but its alright. Not necessarily my cup of gundam, so to speak, but I still enjoyed it.

And yes, Seed/Destiny 2nd season with Shin focus nearly made me turn it off as well. I watched those episodes once... ever since I've just skipped them when rewatching the show in order to not rage. Seed and the rest of Destiny were both superb though, absolutely superb.Worst Characterization Ever award goes to Shin.

Age deserves to rot like SD Gundam....Unicorn is great if you've kept any interest with the UC era (i.e. Gundam 0079, Gundam 08th MS team, Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam, Char's Counterattack, and many more) because it finally explains several key plot points for the UC era. Also, the mech design and battle sequences are SUPERB! If you know mechs, you'll also get to see what happened to mechs from older series (/times in the UC era).

I highly recommend Unicorn, but only if you know at least about Zeta Gundam and Char's Counterattack, possibly with a little ZZ Gundam foundation.

started AGE and agree with two comments above
mine..

hmmm...

Still dont mention actually sitting down and giving the series an honest chance or even what makes the series so bad in their eyes. Seems like these are just from people going along with the rumors and initial feeling most of which are untrue. AGE has actually started gathering acclaim and changing a lot of peoples minds if you actually give it a chance and watch it instead of shunning it away just based on the character design.

Actually just got done watching Trailblazer a second time through. It wasnt as bad as I thought it was watching it the first time through. I still hate how they left the lives of the meisters after the ELS conflict so much in the dark. But the battles were intense including the final battle. I think it goes without saying the Gundam's in Trailblazer are probably the most powerful ever in the entire Gundam AU and UC eras. Hell Graham Aker may easily be the best pilot of all time as well.

What is that? What does Shin Kyoto-Hen mean?

Ya never watched Rurouni Kenshin? Kyoto-Hen is one of the arcs of the series that originally aired in the 90s and they are doing a movie remake.

I've watched the entire serious i think three times, from start to finish.

So they are just making a movie on part of it?

Yep the best part too. The Kenshin vs Shishio fight was probably the best fight of the series IMO. Also I believe that the anime deviated from the manga after this arc.

Heres and expert from wiki:

A new Rurouni Kenshin project, titled Rurouni Kenshin - Meiji Kenkaku Romantan: Shin Kyōto-Hen (るろうに剣心―明治剣客浪満譚― 新京都編?), was announced in April 2011's Jump Square. Director Kazuhiro Furuhashi, Studio Deen, and the original cast (except Hirotaka Suzuoki who passed away in 2006, Saitō Hajime will now be voiced by Ken Narita) will be returning after nine years. The project will be split into two parts and be a remake of the second arc, the Kyoto arc, from the viewpoint of Makimachi Misao. Part 1 will run at Tokyo's Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro theater and Osaka's Cine-Libre Umeda theater for one week only. Aniplex of America announced at Otakon 2011 that they are in "negotiations" for the English language rights to the new series

Brother started watching Deadman Wonderland...now I'm watching it.
