Why do YOU like bad shows is the real question here. But fear not naive anime viewer for I shall cleanse your soul of watching trashy anime. In order to accomplish this we must lay out some details

Yeah I haven't watched it in a while but from what i know new episodes are going to be released in about 2 days.

I Like Bleach, i really do. The only thing i hate about it is all the plot jumps. it gets aggravating sometimes...No all the time...So many fillers...At least they somewhat interest me...i really just want to see what happens in the end with the big battle...

But what i watch is what i watch. I'm open to new series but i like what i have now. I'm not dropping it because others say it's terrible. That's like if someone likes a certain food and quits eating it because the new bandwagon says that kind of food is disgusting.

So what if the food is horrible for you and filled will fillers and fats you would still eat it? It is not the point of bandwagon it is the fact that they are horrible shows with multiple plots, fillers, bad characters, ect... Not just a few people saying it is bad a lot of people agree on the fact that those shows are just crap thrown into a book/anime to sell stuff.

I actually hate most of the food at fast food restaurants. If i do eat there it is usually because i have the munchies and it is around 2 am and no were else is open. That and i can only eat one of any type of their burgers before the grease makes me have to throw up. That and i don't know how it is delicious, i had real burgers from a cafe` those are delicious you don't even know.

Naruto is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a cluster of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping DARKNESS. The normal anon can see this as the crap it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

Here are some shows that are better gateway animes

1.) Cowboy Bebop
2.) Code Geass
3.) FLCL
4.) Gunslinger Girl
5.) The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
6.) Spice & wolf
7.) Ghost in the Shell SAC

That and most of them are on Netflix, so it is easier on people who still don't DL or use VLC.

They are both good animes. It all depends on weather you wanna watch a comedy or an Action. I havn't watched Trigun yet, it is in my mile long backlog, but i have just finished Nichijou and it made me laugh out loud a good bit. All and all it was pretty darn good.

Well I just finished the first episode of Trigun. It's actually a little of both comedy and action. I guess I'll stick with it.

Here are some shows that are better gateway animes

There is no such thing as a "better" gateway to anime, because the value of said gateway is subjective to the interests/taste of the individual watching that anime.
You may consider the anime you listed to be "better" anime (which is your own personal opinion), but another person may find Naruto to be more interesting than "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", because they prefer to watch a combat related anime.
I'd have thought it would be completely against the purpose of this thread to laugh or criticise anothers taste in Anime/Manga, as well as being particularly narrowminded on unbased elitisism.

Not that I deny liking any of the 7 listed animes, there are just better ways of suggesting to watch them than saying "You like bad animes like these instead".

That and that was a small list of animes but here since you don't think i know between good and bad animes here is a list for you guys. Also that and i'm not narrow minded i did the 3 episode before dropped rule, so ya i'm narrow minded, i don't watch or learn about something i strong am opinionated about.

I'm sorry I have no idea what i'm talking about. All i was trying to accomplish was the fact that Naruto and Bleach are one of the worst 2 animes ever created. But i guess criticism and trying to lead the eGO anime community in the right direction, the one with culture, no fillers, and good plots. Have fun discussing bad animes, I'll leave you guys alone to discuss fillers, bad plots, and horrible characters. If you actually wanna talk about good animes feel free to add me on steam.

First off, i agree with the community of people. Second you need to reread what you have posted.

Lastly i do accept what other people watch doesn't mean i can't try and show them the better path. Let me show you what i posted before

Part 1:

You and many others(including myself) may say it's crap, but does that mean there's a problem with liking it? Television is here to entertain, not define people.

One more thing. Black Cat wasn't trying to condemn your taste, just your attitude.

If you ever think someone is truly oblivious to the fact that "y" is bad, telling them that it is will just make the individual put a wall up and ignore you. They'd be much more inclined to watch a show that you recommend if you do it in this manner instead. "While you're waiting for a new episode, you should check 'x' out." They might even grow to dislike "y" through watching "x."

Naruto is a gateway anime of the worst kind.

It may be a horrible gateway anime, but the thing is it gets the person watching anime.
If they enjoyed it, "I may have something else that you would like."
If they hated it, "I may have something that's better."
Either way, they sat down and watched anime and got into the genre. Mission freaking accomplished.

I'd have to agree. While I don't think Naruto is the BEST anime out there, it does get people into anime during this generation.

Of course the anime that got me hooked into this world was Gundam, but that was a couple years ago. Most of the generation nowadays starts with Naruto as their first.
