So I came home today from track and I went on the keyboard. It was off so I tured it on. When I turned it on, a screen pops up saying the "last attempt to resume the system from it's previous location failed". My two options are Continue with system resume or delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu. I tried to go up and down w/ the arrow keys and hit enter but it didn't work. My keyboard won't respond so I can't choose an option. How do I fix this? My keyboard and I maybe my mouse aren't responding. I have no idea how to fix this, so I came to the computer next to me to ask you guys. Thanks.

Sounds like a defective... there's a lot that could've caused this. Any suspicions? Bad Malware infection maybe? What were you doing last on that computer?

Just going on the net and playing some counterstrike.. Nothing different than the past that I can remember..

I have not installed anything new lately and the performance was the same as always last night.

And Well, This problem may be due to the last time, I can have entered a malware or any virus, trojan.

But I have a question:

You use USB keyboard?

and Well, You have no more to format! ,

I see no other solution to this. or try disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard.

I can not think about anything else!

Lol for them to say...

"Hmm, seems like you can't start up windows, and your keyboard doesn't seem to work. Well the only solution is to get a new hard drive for 50 dollars, but we'll have charge you for inspection and maintenance and a small additional fee for our services, the total will be $200 + tax. But in my opinion you're better off buying a mac because you can't get viruses and it's great for photo/video editing and safari is the fastest internet browser."

No srsly, If your keyboard is USB then you probably can't use it because of a hard drive failure, or maybe you received a computer worm that disables all USB ports. I once had a worm that literally ate my hard drive and I couldn't use it and had to buy a new one.

it's not that the keyboard is broken or unplugged. Sometimes I can hit escape and go to setup. It just seems like on a certain point of start up, the virus or w/e can block the keyboard. But it never works once I get to that spot.

What you need to do is get into your BIOS and look for the Keyboard option (Basic/Advanced Chipset, or Peripheral) and change the setting so it knows to use the BIOS for the USB driver until windows loads. Otherwise it waits until windows loads (which it's not doing hence your issue) thus no driver for it is loaded so you can't use your keyboard.
