Desktop Issue.

[Show No Mercy]

Last night my friend, who doesn't know a thing about computers, went on my laptop to "change the background". However, whatever the hell he did there's now a picture on the right side that won't disappear. I've tried applying different wallpapers but it still won't remove. I have no idea what the clumsy oaf did it wasn't good heh.

Any ideas how to fix it?

Another way to set background immages is to have your active desktop set to show webpages overriding your background picture. It is possible to use tis to display immages instead of website (I have done this before) and that can be moved so as to block only part of the screen. I am trying to remember where it is in XP I think appearance or background just look under the advanced options and make sure that using active desktop set to websites is off.

Sorry if that doesnt help I cant remember the real name of the options right now.

Thanks but I fixed it just now actually. I guess it the image had been set to use offline and something else because I had to uncheck the offline and close menus. *shrugs*
