I upgrade from windows xp to windows 7 and now all my FPS's are ruined because of the mouse acceleration. Its terrible, for example, if theres a spy behind me in tf2 and i try to spin around quickly i end up over shooting him and do like a whole 360. Is there anyway to get windows 7 acceleration to be like xp was? has anyone else had this problem? Im pretty sure xp had some acceleration and i played on default windows xp settings so i dont know if completely removing mouse acceleration through the registry would be the best thing to do. Any suggestions? ive already tried unchecking the mouse precision thing, that makes me feel like i have less control over the mouse, especially just on my desktop.

Have you tried toning down the specific game mouse sensitivity settings?

I did not experience the problem you are having, so lmgtfy.

Are you experiencing this in ALL games?
If you own a Logitech, have you checked it's independent program via Control Panel or other method?

I noticed this too. When my brother upgraded to W7 i noticed the sensitivity was really high in tf2. I just lowered it.

i experience it on all games and lowering the speed doesnt solve the problem that im having. its the acceleration thats sux. if i move my mouse slow, its to slow, and wen i move it fast its to fast.

If you have a logitech mouse, you can download logitech setpoint and change all settings from in side there.
