[L4D2] Game Crash on The Passing Launch

I'm hoping someone here will know how to fix this. I downloaded the update after it was released and launched my game. I went to play Single player and when I tried to play The Passing campaign my game crashed. I thought it was just bad luck, so I tried again and it crashed. I verified my game files and tried playing the Passing again and it crashes. I uninstalled the game and re-installed it and tried it, and it still crashes. I've done everything I can think of and I can't find anything on the steam forums that will help me. If you guys find anything please let me know =S.

I myself do not have L4D (or L4D2) but I suggest (if you can) trying to sign into another computer, installing it there, then testing it...if that doesn't work, well then I suggest posting on the Steam forums or else in Steam Support.

Open up steam games tab>>Right click on L4D2>>Properties>>Local Files Tab>>Verify integrity of game cache

Do you have the latest video card drivers?
Do you have the latest sound card drivers?
Have you checked your computer for malicious intrusion?
Are you running anything that might not agree with L4D? ie; A firewall prevents access, a virus scanner prevents access, UAC denies access, etc.

Okay, well I have some good news. I can now play the Passing campaign! Apparently there is a bug to where if you have your shader detail to very high, the game will crash when you try to play anything related to the addon. Everything is working fine, so if you want to play some L4D2, be sure to invite me!!

is that why D= i was having the same issue...also kinda think everyone hates me now because i got zero responses to mine and i made it like a day and half a ago
