So whenever my brother trys to log into World of Warcraft, or trys to use the internet at ALL, on his Macbook, or our miniMac, the DSL connection on our modem crashes, causing everyone to be kicked off the internet.

Right now we use AT&T, on their fastest service plan, and am using a 2Wire modem. Does anyone know why a mac would crash our internet?

I'm not sure, really. Maybe it's sending some faulty packets?
Call your ISP provider, it might be a known issue.

Don't ask Apple. They'll probably make you buy a Airport Extreme.

Have you tried restarting your Modem/Router?
Have you attempted to connect the Mac though other means? (Wire or if you're trying that now, wifi?)

I'm using wifi, and I've called ATT up twice, they come, say our box outside is decrepit, fix it, leave. I think we may need new wiring.

20 minutes later, the internet crashed.

Because Macs fail.... Just kidding.

I would say its probably a compatibility issue, i would try and see about getting a different router, or if you have to have that one by AT&T i would check about getting a 2nd router to use as a wireless hub and have the wireless only broadcast from that.
