The latest advancement in regenerative therapies may come from the hand of a pair of flatworms. As British scientists recently have announced to have found the gene that allows flatworms regenerate any part of your body.

Some species of these worms are able to use stem cells, which are present throughout life, to regenerate muscles, tissues, organs and even their brains (if they can speak of them.) However, this is not all, because the regenerated tissue grows in the place where required and are quite functional. Something that in other species with regenerative capacity is not tonic.

Unfortunately, investigations still have a long way, because although they have identified the gene responsible, no one knows the functioning of the entire process. What is extremely important in order to their safe use in humans and non-propagating cases result in uncontrolled cell.

Moreover, the resulting possibilities of this discovery are enormous, and could even lead to the replacement of our organs and tissues defective or damaged, so we should not care so much about our age or lose his head.

pretty interesting - im still in favour of more preventative care to have our current guts not break down to the point where they need to be taken out or new ones.
i think its funny how we are getting to the point where we think oh noes, something about me is wrong, snap snap replace it now plawks.
we really have no idea how to take care of things in this world do we, lol
