Well I totally blame Music for this.. He hits me with a Gustav and....

I took a screen shot and looked at it on my other monitor and the screenshot looked fine so I figured it was my main screen. So to let every one know what it looked like I had to take the pictures with my phone.

My other monitor works fine but my main one is kaput so...

Any ideas of what might be wrong ? Cause I sure don't know >.< :facewall:

Try swapping the monitors, does it follow?

Try using just the one monitor, still the same?

It might have just gone out, but try everything listed here before newegg shopping...

Haven't tried the monitor on a different computer I guess I'll do that later.

check your monitor cable between the monitor and video card. Reconnect both ends and make sure they are connected well.

If that doesnt work, reinstall your current video drivers. (uninstall them, then reinstall them after a computer restart)

If that doesnt work, I am pretty sure anyways that your video card is fried. Time to buy a new one.

His second monitor works fine. So it's either the port, the cable, or the monitor. Not his entire video card.

his second monitor might look fine. I would not rule out the video card until he tries running the game on the other monitor.

Imagine those same colors being 0.1cm wide, 0.3cm tall and placed all over the screen (meaning everthing is muticolored squares) and you got what happened to my 24" monitor.

Your video card has either failed or you somehow lost your drivers, because those are artifacts. It isnt the monitor.

I would agree. Since it happened in the middle of a gaming session, the drivers are not the issue.

You need to list the basic specs of your rig, monitor, etc. I do concur that those look like artifacts. You should be able to narrow the problem down with some basic troubleshooting (swapping monitors, ports, etc.). I'm really surprised that your other monitor looks fine still if it's a video card issue. Try hooking up your main monitor to the port that your second one is hooked up to and removing the second one from the system completely. Monitor your GPU temperatures as well and make sure you're not cooking your card.
