New Macbook Pro

Not true at all, they do not fail at gaming. Why? Because one I can run windows therefore I can run any program your computer can. Second I can install emulators like crossover games and play any game I want while still being on mac and not even having to install windows. And third I can run windows virtual machines again being able to do anything you pc can.

There's a difference between being able to run a program and running it smoothly. The parts simply cannot match the higher end laptops.

And people aren't considering the NEW i7 Macbook Pros. Yes, I would say the older ones are very good. Long battery life, good interface, etc. But the new ones have heating problems. You don't want to fry your very very VERY expensive Macbook Pro lol.

It all depends on what you want. You want gaming and processing power, go buy one of those nice Asus laptops. You want convenience and the option to look cool while on your laptop at a Starbucks, go Macbook Pro.

I have an older one, I haven't even seen any of the new i7 and i5 ones.

thanks alot for the input guys! both sides present a very sturdy argument for themselves...which is why im still back to debating between the two now

hardware wise way to expensive OS wise both windows and OS X suck i hate haveing to boot windows to game and i hate that over the years i had to buy multiple macs for my work and i really hate how steve jobs manages the company.
