Im headed overseas on monday to Athens Greece and I just thought i would see if anyone had any restaraunts, clubs, bars etc to recommend. I'll be over there for about 10 days and staying mostly in Athens with a few excursions out into the country. Any Greek e's out there???

Well, I can tell you this: Dont eat at McDonalds in Athens, Greece. One of my grandma's friends went to Athens like 8 years ago and instead of eating some greek food at a local restaurant she went and ate at a McDonalds.......
pretty stupid if you ask me..lol

Eat a gyro for me while you're there :D

Greek food is very tasty, if I did not know where to go, i ask somebody in the city that I recommend a restaurant and not make a post here that nobody have a safe idea.

I agree go to athenas to eat macdonals is a stupidity.

Have a beautiful and pleasant travel. I hope that you break many dishes against the floor (it is a
Tradition there)

I recommend you go slowly testing foods for your stomach to be accustomed to the time of there!, Buy drinking water.

Make this trip an adventure and enjoy it in big, take care

Greece<3 I just got to love that place. I've been there twice and and I'd like to go again. The first time I was in Cyprus (?spelling?) and the second time I was on the island Samos.
I really recommend that you try the greek food, its just awesome. BTW if you go to greece, you have to try anis liqour <3 and rosè wine. I love both ;)
Of course I'm not encouraging minors to drink alcohol , but if you got the age for it, both of those are a must.

He is only 19, so I doubt that you need to recommend alcoholic beverages, even though he did ask about them... LOL!

Hope your having fun, :D Well when you get back write for JohnT a report or what to do and not do in Greece,

greece has no legal drinking age. also, the hostel im staying at has a bar on the roof. sooooo..... but it really is a great location. im about two blocks from the acropolis so im gonna have a fantastic view of the hill at night. hevi, yeah i would like to get out to islands if i can. that would be great. what kind of experience did u have on the islands? is there alot to do?

I'd like to mention, Gyros are pronounced "Hee-Ros" in Greece, they get angry if you mess that up.

19 is a legal drinking age in Finland, the age limit over here is 18 (for anything from 1%-39%). Though you have to be 20 to buy beverages with over 39% alcohol, but you can order anything in a bar.

Isn't that age 21 in U.S.?

And Endgame, the islands over there have a lot to do. Each island has its own customs and traditions, i think the book of revelations is supposed to have been written on one of the islands. I visited the island while i was on Samos, but dont remember the name.

When I went to Europe I was surprised at how many of my friends went to McDonalds for every meal. You'd be surprised at how many new things you'll find that you like.
