TF2 Run Smoother

How can i get tf2 to run smoother with out putting in better hardware my specs are

Nvida 9500 gt

2gb ddr2 ram

dual core 3.0 ghz processer

if anyone can help please reply

You could turn the quality down and end some of the other processes before playing. And when you are in game, ctrl + alt + del, go to processes. find hl2.exe right click, set priority, and set it high. That should help the game run a little smoother.

Dual Core 3.0Ghz... that narrows it down to several processors.

If you haven't already, try enabling multi-core processing. In TF2 under video options I believe.

I noticed that you've only got 2GB of memory. What operating system do you have? Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7? 32-bit or 64-bit?

go into the console while your in a server in tf2 and type in:
net_graph 1

If your FPS is over 60 most of the time enable vertical sync in your video settings.
Remember, just because you have high FPS doesn't mean gameplay will be smooth. This is assuming you getting a bit above 60 FPS in tf2, which shouldn't be a problem if you lower your ingame resolution a little bit.
