tech problem

so let me review!
1. Check to make sure sound card /motherboard
2. uninstall drivers then reinstall drivers
(now im done? )
OR
do i have to add the "-steam +mat_forcehardwaresync 0 +snd_async_prefetch_priority 1?
Either way im powering down to check the sound card....Please keep in touch!

check to see if the game runs after each step.

Oh and you almost put this in the right area, the subforum to the Tech Talk, called Tech Help (what were in right now) is a more suitable location to start the thread :-D, but it's not a big problem, at least your in Tech something haha.

UPDATE:
So i have reinstalled derectx as well as checked my motherboard (turns out it on the motherboard!) I am still unable to play DOD:s (i can play on another computer cause i bought 2 copies) I printed out some pages on steam support.talking about some things about trouble shooting. NOTHING SEEMS TO BE WORKING!

do you have a registry cleaner? sounds almost like a bad address error - download CCleaner and run the registry application of the program. follow that up with the drive cleaner application.

If the above doesnt fix the issue - go into your Steam files, find the .BLOB file and delete it - login to Steam and it will reaquire a new .BLOB file.... Ive had the issue your haveing in the past and the removal and re-aquisition of the .BLOB file worked.
