need help connection errors

when i join highschool server about 5 mins after i start to play i get kicked out(timed out) and it says secure connection failed, A connection to steam vac servers cannot be made i went to steam support tried everything there nuthin worked. ne1 know how i can fix

and i have no clue what the problem could be, there is prob a lot of possibilities.

Yeah you'd have better luck in tech help forums, they are very good with computers.
Sounds like a steam-related problem not so much a internet connection problem, sorry, I do not know much about computers ^_^;

try disable your firewall, then connect if the problem persists try to verify you game catch file by right clicking on your css in steam and going to properties then to the local files tab then click on verify integrity of game catch

i hopw this works for you.

it could also be possible that your anti-virus program is reacting to the connection with steam servers

so maybe try disable that for a while

also if you are using vista or windows 7 try disabeling User account controls it dosnt get allong with steam


somthing is blocking steam vac scans thats y you time out

Disabling your firewall is always a BAD idea, unless your opening DMZ for a PS3 or XBOX.



I've had this problem before. Just reconnect and go.

If not, it might be a server issue
