How to handle accusations of hacking?

So today while in a server some people were suggesting another player maybe hacking or cheating somehow. I responded with the usual "please don't accuse others of cheating". one of the replies was "what if they are?". and to be honest i wasn't sure how to answer that one, i know in DoD:source we ask them to make a demo, but how do we go about it in BB2? the only thing i could think of for a reply to him was "Let the admins handle it"

and i have to say, i really don't like the chat system in BB2, soon as you die you cant read whats going on. Nor is there a spectate mode im aware of.

Spectate the player and record using fraps or xfire. Then just compress it and send it off to the demo mail in. and fill out a ban request

There is no spectate mode in BC2, iSimon.

I also dont know how to spectate players, but just tell thim; "admins are taking care of the stuff here, you just have fun".

The only way is to check the PB screens, and I do not know if they are currently working right now or not.

I ran into the exact same problem, the player being accused was however a Recon being very campy with his M95. Final score for him was 30-5

This has happened with me on many an occasion, especially on isla innocentes and arica harbor where I just sit back and pick people off as they rush the first points. People get uppity when they see people with scores like 15-1 and 20-3. I just ask them either a) Please don't hackuse eGO members without sufficient proof or b) Let the admins do their jobs, please

when i get accused of using aimbot or just hacking in general cuz i use the slug shotties a lot i just chuckle, but usually when ppl accuse others of hacking its b/c they are getting very frustrated and they are probably the type of person who doesnt like losing. thats just my 42 cents

Correct as of right now and I'm pretty sure there will never be a spectate mode. I know it sucks for catching cheaters but thats life. As of right now what we do is just ask people to not accuse other players of cheating, and if they continue accusing we warn/kick/ban. Now just because some one says "ZOMG that n00b is haxoring" doesn't mean the person isn't hacking so keep an eye out on the person see how he plays see what weapon hes using see if he gets nothing but headshots. Remember if a person is disrupting a server we need to take action. and for you e's remember the best thing you can do when someone is getting accused/is hacking come on vent and get an O or me or one of the other wonderful leadership newbs
