Different nvidia driver

Ok, so heres the issue. I just recently got a few racing games the weekend before last & installed DiRT. Unfortunately the graphics seems to glitch up quite a bit. I have yet to get into multiplayer as im just learning bout DiRT. Ive only had 1 other game glitch up on me like this, but I cant seem to remember the name of it. My current driver is 6.14.11.9107. Any ideas on a stable current driver will be great. My video card is an old 9800GT.

yep. found out that my current driver is 190.62 & the latest is 197.45. apparently a big jump. sometime soon ill be installing win 7, so ill be doing some checking into drivers for my card w/ that os.

Usually you can just dl the latest drivers for you OS and you'll be good. Pretty much all of the drivers I've read about (from September '09) have been stable except 197.25 or whatever, where it wouldn't let you adjust fan speed. But that's it.
