I'm trying to watch The Shawshank Redemption again on 1080p. The audio seems to get out of sync if I fast forward it, sense I don't feel like watching the first half of the movie again I'd like to figure this out.

I opened up Speedfan while the movie was playing and every core was around 80% load, my GPU was at 0 load. I have almost every codec you can think of besides CoreAVC. The only one that shows up though is CCCP, I haven't messed with it too much so its all set at the default settings.

My computer should be adequent to play a 1080P movie

AMD phenom 9500 @2.2 ghz
ATI ASUS 4870 1 GB
3 Gigs of RAM.

Hmm, I've had similar glitches where if I FF or Rewind on high resolution videos the sound gets out of sync, but say you're playing it and you click somewhere on the timeline, right? then it jumps to that spot, do that instead of FF or Rewind, it doesn't unsync the sound for me. Other than that the only explanation I can think of is that your harddrive can't move that amount of information that fast, not that its a defficiency in your processor or RAM. But I don't know, I'm not that experienced in things like this.

Hmm, I'll keep that in mind. Now it'll stay in sync for a little then go out again, then go back.
