Any other hockey fans out there? This season has been particularly good for myself as the Sharks are rollin through the playoffs steadily...Took out the Avs and the Wings! Don't know who is next though...Canucks or the B.Hawks...I'm hoping that that particular series goes a full 7 games to wear em out while the Sharks will have had about 6 days off! Who are you guys rooting for? And if they aren't in the playoffs anymore...Who do you think has what it takes?

@ Tahoe- What place were the Stars in before the playoffs? I remember they were pretty close to that 8th spot.

@ Bizon- Score, Santa Clara is about an hour n 30 min north of me...I'm in Monterey btw
 
@ Trauma - The pred's are pretty badass...Its always a good game to watch when its preds v sharks! Btw...thanks for Scott Nichol and Jed Ortmeyer! :D
 
i like hockey too. but since im from germany nobody would know the team :P (DEG Metro Stars). atm we have the world championship here :D and we won against your US boys. :cool:

Lol Im guessing those two were traded to your team? I dont follow hockey too closely but i should probably start.

And, I just want Wings out, which already happened, (YAY!) and the black hawks. meh
 
@ Sajora - Hockey is hockey the world round :) Grats on the championship! But you were correct in guessing that I have no idea who your team is haha

@ Trauma - Yep...both came from the Preds to the Sharks...they were free agents though so the Preds didnt get anyone for them directly...but Marcel Goc was released from his Sharks contract and was picked up as a free agent by the Preds.

@ IRS - Well the Sharks knocked the wings down a notch last week...hope this coming week they can do the same to the bhawks in round 3.

well we didnt win the championship yet :P just won 2 out of 3 games and the first one was against the usa. with 70k ppl in the stadium. WORLD RECORD!
 
Yea I just like the Preds because they are my home town team and hockey is fun to watch. Too bad that the recent flood we had here kinda got into the arena. But I think its all cleared out now. I think my favorite is TooToo though. I went to a Preds game last year and he started like 6 fights that game lol. Not only that but he won every one of them xD.
 
Hockey fan and player here. :) I was rooting for the Coyotes. They had some great games in the playoffs but it wasn't enough. Now I'm rooting for the Sharks
 
i didn't see the blackhawks taking out vancouver. i didn't think they had the goaltending for it, but they proved me wrong hardcore and chicago GT turned it up big time.

Montreal Canadians. WOW. just outright amazing wow. first of all they took out the caps and everybody blamed the caps on their fail performance. now with the canadians taking out the pens completely shows it was not the pens or caps fail, it was the habs win. and win they did.

@ Trauma - Tootoo is a beast hah...He definitely knows how to throw down...one of my fav fights though was Tootoo vs Staubitz...[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bzqk81M-1eo[/ame] Staubitz totally kicked tootoo's ass and took him down a notch

@ Cronde - Can't go wrong with rootin for the team that knocked out the team that knocked out the yotes! The yotes did exceptionally this season despite the trouble in the upper management and such...Definitely goes to show that a team can really come together despite tough times.

@ Junk - I agree totally...I didn't think the Bhawks would be able to stop the Sedins but they did a pretty darn good job of it...I'm lookin forward to the Sharks/Bhawks series...Hopefully it won't be to lopsided and will be a good playoff series...Both teams are top notch...But as it is now I would give the edge to the Sharks simply because they have been resting for 5 days at this point while the BHawks JUST finished their series...So depending on when the series starts...the Sharks might have the edge...But I'm not counting the BHawks out of it at all...they are a behemoth in the NHL and have always brought it when they needed to.

@ Konig - I'll see you in the WCF :) Good luck to the BHawks!
 
wendel clark, thats all i can say in response to that fight vid there.

let me show you a little clip, tho you won't see the aftermath on this fight and it doesn't even look that bad however they had interviews afterwards and mcsorley's face was BUSTED. i think his eye socket was broken too actually and wendel didn't have a scratch on him

yep...thats a crazy fight....definitely messed his face up bad...i just liked that fight cause staubitz knocked tootoo down a notch...i think that was staubitz' first year in the nhl so stuck out in my mind.
 
I dont think New Zealand even has an international hockey side.
 
we are not in the finals either yet. second round now and our opponent is russia or belarus i believe. gonna be a hard game.
