Im Very Very Laggy.

Hey, can anyone explaine why im so laggy (by laggy i mean its impossible to play because of lags) when ever i open a server on DOD:S and start to play? If you can explaine the problem, could you also tell me how to fix it? I have about 0% computer smarts in my brain so thats about all i can say.

what is your rate and cl_cmdrate and cl_update rate set at?
in console check these try setting them higher then slowly work your way down til you dont lag

thats one idea another is firewalls maybe?

first tell us what the specs are... laggy is too broad a issue to approach with any cold read

Go to Options - Video - Advanced and set everything to low, your graphics won't look worse but the lag will go away, and also, go to start- all programs - accessories - system tools - disk defragmenter, and run defrag on all your harddrives
