Top 100 PC games of all time

Apparently Half Life 2 tops it, but theres always an argument to this discussion.

What would you say is your top 10 favorites?

Half Life 2 and Episode 1 and 2 definitely top my best and favorite single player experiences of all time.

This is what PC Gamer readers selected. I read the issue that had the actual list, and this was not what it was. I'm too lazy to fetch the magazine, but it had Deus Ex at 1, HL2 at 2, TF2 at 3........I don't remember it all, but Fallout 3 at 10.

Terrible list is terrible. Something tells me it wasn't just the PC gaming community that was voting.

Starcraft, Diablo II and Counterstrike not being in the top 3 is what made me think that.

any list need deus ex, and system shock 2 near the top and hl1 and 2 have to be there.
and Dune2 should be there also.

I don't under stand this list.
It has no unreal tournament or quake games in the top 10, or any cs games. MW2 is 6th? That doesn't make much sense as it did not get good reviews at all and only came out recently.

1.Starcraft
2.Counter-Strike 1.6
3.Counter-Strike:Source
4.Half-Life 2
5.Halo 3 (I don't really play anymore, but it was addicting when I did play)

Starcraft is my lover, I've played that game since I was 5 years young and it got me interested into computers themselves.

DII maybe, but Starcraft wasn't all that great, and CS:S it terrible compared to 1.6, and then 1.6 is terrible compared to 1.5.

TF2 I think is rightly placed at 5, but the games around it are not. Half Life was much better than the second, and Portal is a top 10 game.

WoW #10? even though we all don't play it and maybe some of us loathe it, we can all agree that game is an icon for the PC Gaming world and should be top 5, definitely not below MW2

Complete agreement. Why were console gamers voting in a PC gaming list? I like Oblivion and FO3, but they are certainly not most people's top 2 and 7 games. And seriously...MW2 on PC was labelled #6? Somebody has to learn the definitions of PC and console.

I'll just go with the only 10 PC games I haven't merely played for a little or beaten once then stopped.
1) TF2
2) Battlefield 2142
3) HL
4) EVE Online
5) Portal
6) HL2
7) Crysis
8) DoW
9) WC III
10) HAWX

I usually just go "Favorite in X genre" rather than a list, so making this was a little hard for me.

Yes these are pretty much the only 10 PC games I have done more than just play through once, or play for a month.
