Hey all, I just wanted to inform you guys of the game that has basically taken my life away.

There's a special going on right now where you can play the demo for the rest of this week, rather than just 3 hours. It's also down to $4.99 if you decide to buy it.

It's extremely addicting. The gameplay is simple, but there's still a lot of room for mastery.

Check it out on the steam store HERE.

Forums.

Also, if you decide to buy it and you're feeling a little gracious, talk to me so I can get some community points off of your purchase :)

But seriously, it's a great game with a tight community. And there's going to be a lot of newbies in there just like you. I'm looking at the servers right now and they've never been so full.

Oh and if you want to add me as a friend in-game, my name is Major Payne also.

i can understand how it can be addicted... but i don't see how they could even get people to buy it.

Man I really wish I had 5$ right now but i don't! Grr this game looks fun!

I bought this game when it first came out, WAY before Steam had it. It is a really great game, good support from the dev too. I haven't played in forever, maybe I should reinstall. It is DEF worth $5, I think i payed $20.

Oh no doubt. The devs are amazing. They are constantly posting in the Altitude portion of the Steam forums, they're constantly posting on the Altitude forums, and they respond to suggestions/complaints almost immediately.

I bought this game for $15, but I'd drop $40 if I had to.

Man I can't get myself off this game for the free weekend, man I wish i had five dollars so I could buy this game.

It's tons of fun. I've been playing it throughout the weekend, I consider buying it, but currently I do not have money. And I told myself that any money I get I'll donate it to eGO.

Somewhat off-topic, but I thought I'd mention how much it reminded me of this little Game Maker game: http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=216486 (the download link is down, but I found one that works at http://host-a.net/JaketheSnake3636/ACE.zip)

Not nearly as polished as Altitude, but the concept is quite similar (and A.C.E. is from 2006). Good luck finding anyone to play online with in ACE though :P

Note that you might need to run it through http://wiki.yoyogames.com/index.php/Making_games_work_under_Windows_Vista if you have Windows Vista or 7.

I thought some of you might find this interesting, it brought back some memories for me but I doubt any of you have heard of it :P

Hey Lifty, do me a favor and check your Steam sometime between now & whenever you get on your computer. You have a surprise waiting.

it doesnt look that addictive mr wizard, but still nice analogy.

maybe if someone has it when quakecon comes around & allows me to try it out, then ill give it a try. otherwise, doesnt look like itll get my interest.
