I checked my results for my computer at http://www.canyourunit.com

I pass everything for the minimal and almost everything for Recommended except the "CPU Requirements" and the "Video Card" (even though it shows 2.2GB of Video RAM).

My specs:

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.0 GHz
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
4.0 GB RAM
NVidia GeForce 8800 GT 512-MB (video Card)

My question is - do you think this thing will run fairly well on my PC? I want to be able to run it without setting it all to Lowest.

Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks guys! ;)

Yes you can run it. Saltychipmunk (from tf2, or my roomate) has the same video card and can run BBC:2 on high settings. Not sure on the CPU but you should have no problems with it. It's a great game so you definitely should get it.

I do know that a duel core processor with this game is a huge road block. The game has great sound, but instead of using the computers sound card it uses the CPU. With a quad core all cores are used during game play, but it really helps out.

Thanks Altec. Pepper - does your Salty have a Quad-core or dual-core CPU?

The only thing that will hold you back, as everyone has said, is the dual-core processor you are rocking in that setup. Despite its high clock speed (3.00GHz), it just doesn't have the power of a quad-core setup.

The video card will be fine. You will load up quickly and should be able to get pretty decent framerates on medium settings. I run an 8800GTX+ XLR8 Performance Overclock and I get ~150fps on low (but i couldn't care less about what my game looks like).

You'll be fine even with the dual core, with a Quadore you dont even come close to maxing out the cores. On a decent dual core you'll still get equal performance just a bit higher cpu utilization, just check out some performance reviews and you'll see for yourself.

Alright guys, thanks for the help. I think I'm going to go ahead and do it! :)

I run flawlessly on high settings with a Core2Duo E8400 (3Ghz clock), 4GB RAM, and a 8800 GTS 512

It will be a really good decision. Battlefield Bad Company 2 is definitely a great game and the fun dudes in the division make it even better. See ya in the servers! ;)

I have played and really enjoy it, though it is totally crazy realism compared with TF2. Look forward to collecting some tags. ;)
