Intel X25-M 80GB NEWEGG DEAL !

no offense, but too small of a drive to make it worth the buy. im gonna wait til the 128 & 256gb ssd comes down in price for any consideration on my part. i mean i remember when 40 & 80gb ide drives were the big things. they were just as expensive as these bad boys back in the day, but its obvious that the read/write times are so much more superior. still i can def play the patience game w/ these drives as more & more drives are coming out all the time. we do appreciate you posting about this info tho.

None taken. An 80 is enough to store my OS and most of my steam account. Getting ready to set up some mk_links for TF2 to save some space on the drive.

That's what I was going to say, just throw your OS and games on there. Plenty of room.

Yes price per gig is high, but the performance is very well worth it. Yea benchmarks and reviews are one thing, but you must own one to completely understand the greatness.

do want, but I think im going to wait for Sandforce to get their act together.

They had me at;
250mb/s sustained writes

:drool:

I'd prefer an OCZ drive.
Still a nice drive/deal, though.

Ohh man I would love to use that for my windows. Then I can run all my games on my velociraptror

While this is a great deal, its really too small for me and my Steam games. Itd work great for the OS but @ 200$ still a little high. However when the 256GB SSDs are @ 200$ then Ill be picking me up one. (I have around 200GB in games just on Steam on alone).

I do love the Read/Write speeds, if those dont get a good score on Windows 7 then Windows has flaws (ahahaha thats funny because it does, but we all love it)

I'll get SSD when Sata 3 is real cheap and drives are at least 500g affordable thx for posting keep us updated it is a good deal
