The quality is great. That was a previous demo recorded using startmovie, yes? If so what codec did you use? Cause even with DivX recording in 720p and the quality on high my videos still don't meet my standards.

i just recorded using a demo at 1400x900(native) then once done recording i set my screen at 1280x720 for HD 720p,recorded with fraps btw,for editing i used windows movie maker and it will publish at HD.

Its the one all the 'professional' Frag vid makers use, and I have recently started using, it is extremely high quality and an excellent tool for turning them into AVIs. Oh, and until you publish the full video after editing don't use a codec, have it be uncompressed for best quality.

Well yeah I understand to not use a codec, but the space requirements for uncompressed video are crazy! Plus if your file goes over 2 gigs using the TF2 recorder the file goes corrupt. I learned that the hard way just recording 5 minutes of uncompressed 720.

on a funny side note, when I tried fraps for the first time, TF2 gave me items while a demo was playing! too bad I didn't click F9 before they came up, would be a funny thing to show on the valve forums.
